SPEAKER: Kristian Norling, Findwise and Norling & Company with commentary by Lynda Moulton, LWM Technology Services
TOPIC: In 2012 and again in 2013, Findwise, a Swedish consultancy specializing in search implementations, conducted a global survey soliciting experiences and thoughts from enterprise search users. Kristian Norling shared the preliminary results at Enterprise Search Europe in London on May 15 and again at Findwise Findability Day in Göteborg, Sweden, later that month. This meeting will feature a 30 minute video of Kristian commenting on the findings and the very important lessons about implementing search successfully. Then we will have a discussion focusing on:
- Issues that challenge your organization when tackling a “search” strategy
- Why search is so important
- Why search expectations are rarely met and results are under-whelming
- What remedies are necessary and achievable
Lynda Moulton will share commentary from the participants in Enterprise Search London that came from the audience after Kristian’s presentation, and her own experiences with clients as they work through search implementations. Please bring your own experiences or questions to share with the group.
